What is Battle for the Beaches 3×3 Showcase?

Battle for the Beaches: 3×3 Showcase is a single-day 3×3 basketball tournament held as part of Northern Beaches Council’s Youth Week 2024.

The tournament is a youth-focused, inclusive and we offer the following categories:

U14 Boys (2011 DOB or younger, cannot turn 14 in 2024)

U14 Girls (2011 DOB or younger, cannot turn 14 in 2024)

U16 Boys (2009 DOB or younger, cannot turn 16 in 2024)

U16 Girls (2009 DOB or younger, cannot turn 16 in 2024)

U19 Men (2006 DOB or younger, cannot turn 19 in 2024)

U19 Women (2006 DOB or younger, cannot turn 19 in 2024)

24 & Under Men (2000 DOB or younger, cannot turn 25 in 2024)

24 & Under Women (2000 DOB or younger, cannot turn 25 in 2024)

Where are the games played and how will it work?

All games will be played on April 20th 2024, 9.00am to 6.00pm at PCYC Northern Beaches.

Teams can have three or four players

Teams will play a minimum of four games and a maximum of six games

All games played under FIBA 3×3 rules.

What time is each category?

Time estimates for each category are:

U14 Girls & U14 Boys 9:00am to 12:00pm

U16 Girls & U16 Boys & U19 Boys 12:00pm to 3:00pm

U19 Girls, U24 Women & U24 Men 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Please note these are estimates only and subject to change if team nominations require us to make adjustments.

Uniforms & shirt design

Teams can design their own uniforms FREE as part of their team entry, on April 20th we will have screen printing available at the venue and teams can design and print t-shirts to wear as their uniforms. Teams that have their own uniforms are welcome to wear them instead but can still print a shirt for themselves.

What does it cost?

Team entry is $50.00 per team for all categories and that includes access to screen printing and t-shirts for all members.
